MAY 2023 Excursion: Tobacco Bay Beach day
St George, Bermuda
Tobacco Bay Beach: A Slice of Paradise in St. George’s
Located in historic St. George’s Parish on the island's East End, Tobacco Bay Beach is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience a quintessential Bermuda beach.
Public beachs in Bermuda are typically at "no cost." It does not cost you anything to go on the beach; however, you know there is always a cost. Here is what you can expect your out of pocket costs to be:
We'll meet outside of the ship on Monday morning - time is TBD.
We'll walk over to the Ferry area and purchase a tocken to take us to St George's - approximately $5.00 each way
Once we arrive at St George's we'll need to get to Tobacco Bay in one of two ways: (1) Buy a ticket for a minibus, which leaves roughly every 30 minutes from the St. George’s visitors center at King’s Square. or, (2) you can walk – it takes about 20 minutes from King’s Square to get to the beach. Just ask the folks at the visitors center for directions - or follow the folks from Aspect!
Once at Tobacco Bay Beach - there is a fine established called "Tobacco Bay" where you can rent a beach chair/umbrella ($20?) and eat/drink at the establishment.
Enjoy the beautiful beach at Tobacco bay
I specifically selected Tobacco Bay as it is beautiful, rather easy to get to, and we'll enjoy the beach on day 1 of Bermuda. This prevents us from having any anxiety about getting back to the ship if we miss the ferry as we can always take a cab!
Register at no cost - we just would like to have an idea of how many guests will be joining us.
