Webinar Description: There is no shortage of managers, directors, VPS, etc. however, there is a shortage of LEADERS. There is a major difference between directing and telling people what to versus leading them to their outcome. It is hard, it takes time and effort, and, especially as Human Resources, we need to exemplify what that looks like.
Jason Lawson is a 30 plus year HR professional who is currently the VP of Human Resources for Anomatic Corporation, a manufacturer of anodized metal based in New Albany, OH. Prior to Anomatic, Jason worked for Dycom Industries as the CHRO and, before that, as the VP for Human Resources at Installed Building Products. He has served in a variety of volunteer leader roles including as the President of the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO) and Chair of the 2023 OHSHRM Conference. Additionally, Jason had the honor to participate as a member of the SHRM Blue Ribbon Commission on Racial Equity. Jason also serves as the Chair of the HR Committee for the Board of Directors for National Church Residences, a Central-Ohio based non-profit provider for senior affordable housing. More than anything else, Jason’s passion is his family which includes his wife, Aby, his four (now adult) children, and their two dogs.
